Busy with you YouTube movies trying to understand your tool. I build the Hello World demo as explained here:

. When I run it into the Sandbox, the text entry fields are not showing in the backend. What's wrong?

You should have forgotten to build your BackEnd Layouts:

Cook works with 3 step.
  1. Save Projet name, infos, etc...
  2. Build Tables and their Fields
  3. Build Layouts (BE / FE) for each Tables (when you enter/save a Layout Name, the Builder auto create all the Table Objets ...)

enjoy :)

Done all 3 steps. Quit the browser. Opened it again. Opened my project. All data is there, component is visible in the backend, but no fields are visible.

Hi pvh.

You need to set field names in the "Cities" table (builder), otherwise the fields are ignored.
Simply focus on the text input box and press enter.

If you want an exemple, just create the sample project "Hello My World"
Projects > [+] > Samples > Hello My World
Coding is now a piece of cake

I found "cook" two days ago. Played around with it for a day and then within a day got rid of two legacy applications in IBM Lotus Domino Notes and replaced them with "cook". It was really easy. A piece of cake. Actually it was even easier than cooking. Cooking involves more work than developing with "cook". What can I say about "cook"? Great application great price for what it delivers great forum with a lot of information and fast responses active and friendly community fast forward moving development cycle So what should I say "Monsieur Le Cook"? Keep the good work going it will lead to success. Having become a paying member in the words of Edith Piaf may I say ..... non rien de rien ... je ne regrette rien. Vive La France.
