Upload doesn't work 21 Apr 2012 03:17 #2095

Hi,

I tried to investigate further.

Trying to avoid intercation, I have created a new project with 1 table including 2 fields :
- 1 varchar field
- 1 file field

Either in the sandbox or in my joomla website, I can't upload a file. There is no error message, the file in not uploaded and after "save", the form field is empty.

On my website, I have manually created the destination folder corresponding to the component parameters...

I might miss something... Any help would be very welcome...

Thanks in advance,

Fred

When i try to upload a file (both through sandbox and local), it doesn't work......

The task seems to be done, but in the grid there's no trace of the upload.....if you try to download the component and do this locally, it happens the same trouble and the corresponding database field is empty.

In my opinion there's no error in my project, because I found the same problem in another project of mine that certainly works.

Good evening,

Thank you for this quick correction.

Download for documents and photos works fine now. Though, I am not sure about the remove select. When I try to remove a downloaded file, I still see its name above the download input. Is it normal ?

Regards,

Fred

Great !

I will present soon the Back End of J! Breeding Manager, 100% Built with j-cook (except Control Panel Interface),
with User Demo Access.

Thank you for that !

There were some upload errors

My Component (Quote Please) worked fine last week, no changes made my end, screen cap of settings in Table below.

Hi,

... It works this morning for me (sandbox and local), but I only manage images .png, .jpg, .gif. (no files).

Hey Marc,

Thanks. I agree.

I can upload any Image type (png, jpg, gif) but no Document types (doc, txt, pdf, rtf) Odd.
In the Properties of the Upload Document data type I have tried numerous times to drag unwanted MimeType extensions from the list, save, and they just re-appear.

Anyway, hope Jocelyn can take a look at this soon.

Hi All just wanted to add one more "thank you" voice to all those who discovered the value of this amazing application. The website I was working on went to production few days ago and I do not want to even try to imagine what would it take to build it without j-cook. So - endless thanks keep it running and evolving I believe it deserves to be the core tool for any joomla application! Thanks!
