I've made a new component with j-cook and for some reason i cant get it to work in the sandbox and when i download the component it still doesn't work just displays a blank screen. please get back to me as it is not a complicated component (It only has one table) but i need it to complete a project urgently. cheers

when you have created your backend views, have you clicked on the save button (disc icon) in the top left hand corner which confirms the default view names.

Open up the views you have created and see if that disc is there, if it is, click it till it turns into a pen then rebuild and view in sandbox

Yes i have done this, I've made several components using j-cook now many off them a lot more complicated than this one. This is a mojor issue for me right now could do with one of the team going in and looking at it. project is called Spot the Dog - Table = entries - views = backend end item and list

I've even tried rebuilding it as a new project now and still it will not work, there must be a seriouse error going on with your system. could you please look into this i am unabel to proceed with anything at the moment due to this problem. a reply acknowledging the problem is on your end would be very much appreciated. I have tried breaking Sandbox with as many different settings as I can.. without success. Looks like it could be specific to yourself / your project area

On the project page, have you tried selecting a different Joomla Compatibility, and switching a few of the settings in CONFIG to see if it makes a difference?

I think I've seen this when the configs have not been saved (default values)

Hi there im having the same issue with another component now and ive tried all the diffrent methods suggested and still nothing but a blank white screen. could some one look into this for me please its a very simple component with one table. its called RWS. Ive tried saving with all the diffrent settings in j-cook config. please help this is urgent that i get this sorted. cheers

Aside from the possibility that there are some access issues, if you're facing a white page issue in the sandbox, you should double check that you've not named any fields beginning with digits like 30_something.

If you download your component and run it locally with debugging on, you'll probably notice T_STRING or T_VARIABLE issues in the $data calls of the model for the concerned layout.

TO FIX
Rename your fields i the builder to something_30 instead and all will be well.

Just checked it out.
Strange, because it is working for me even with reduced features.

Cook is reducing at maximum your component nothing is useless.
So, when this happens sometimes it is because your component is very small.
Now you've added some functionalities, I cannot see the erro, so I cannot fix it.

Next time it happens, please download it with the error and tell me. Because now the error can raise again for other users. It seems to be a little gremelin.
