[FIXED] Confirm Navigation Popup 28 Oct 2012 23:08 #4819

I created a component with a file attachment option. When I click the link to download the file I always get this popup:

I noticed that I always get this in the Cook interface as well when I try to close the tab in Firefox.

Ok, I tested this on

Firefox
Chrome
Safari

(Sorry, No IE. I don't use that bullshit operating system.)

Same result on all of them. This only happens when I click the link to download the uploaded file I built in my component with Cook. If I download a file form my site using Akeeba Release System, I do not get this error. So, it appears to be in the method being used to download the file.

Ideas?

So, ARS does this with the download links:
<a rel="nofollow"

The follow and leave the page thing is what is kicking this error off. Any way that the core code can be updated to add rel="nofollow" to the links for downloads when they are built?

Yeah, the fix is comming.

The tasks that are 'cancelling' current edition item MUST be handled to desactivate the form security first.
You can read the previous post to learn how to handle it.

Easy.

Excellent Tool ! This tool will save you a lot of time writing the same old structure. I've used others but this is really nice for a quick start. Makes a 3 hour task a 15 minute one. Thanks for this extension
