Concat with {tags} 12 Dec 2012 06:22 #6024

Sorry to go on about this but I have tried everything. I can get this to work in the combo, but not in the grid

here is the code
<?php echo JDom::_('html.fly', array(
	'dataKey' => '{forename} {surname}',
        'dataObject' => $row
));
?>

I have rebuilt the project several times but still no success. :huh:

Do I need any other code anywhere else ?

Hi there,
just a thought but do you have both forename and surname available in the query. That is you have included both in your view / layout?

@BTB300 you might be right so yes, @dave1167, it would be worth checking that you have all of the fields available, however, I don't believe this is your issue as in your other post on the topic, you stated that it was working in the form

@BTB300 & @admin
On second thoughts and just to check, do the {placeholders} actually have to reference existing fields on the respective layout or does it render them automatically through the join?

Thanks,

Gez

Time to create page: 0.244 seconds

I jumped and started to work on a demo component... but 2 days later this demo component became the real component. I just showed today the end result to my customer and he turned to me and said... "this is more than I expected"... All of this is because Cook did cut about 70% of my work and provided me more ways to improve the usability of the component. The end result was 17 tables all related between than to generate a full dashboard for the travel agents. Thanks for Cook developers for such great tool. This component would not be possible to be done at short time with all the features in it
