component in joomla version 1.7 instead of 2.5 20 Mar 2013 10:16 #6982

Hello

I get the following error after installation of the component

\administrator\components\com_onlineorder\dom\html\form\input.php on line 281

And I just want to know that I want my component in Joomla version 1.7 but it takes it default as 2.5

So could you sort out this and tell me how do I get the component in version 1.7?

Regards

Thanks,

Hi @123Deepak123,

If you choose the 'CMS' option in the builder (this should be default), your component will be 1.6 - 2.5 compatible. However, this version of Cook does have some issues and lacks many features of Cook 2.0b and the forthcoming release of version 2.5 that will support all of those versions too.

it is also worth noting that the 'CMS' version will almost certainly be deprecated soon after the release of Cook 2.5. Cook 2.5 will resolve the 'open' issues listed for both 1.5 &2.0b versions in the categories listed here: www.j-cook.pro/forum/index/16-debug.

If you need any specific help with the error that you receive when you install your component, please post the details of the error in addition to your builder configuration & project/table/layout concerned.

Many thanks,

Gez

I found "cook" two days ago. Played around with it for a day and then within a day got rid of two legacy applications in IBM Lotus Domino Notes and replaced them with "cook". It was really easy. A piece of cake. Actually it was even easier than cooking. Cooking involves more work than developing with "cook". What can I say about "cook"? Great application great price for what it delivers great forum with a lot of information and fast responses active and friendly community fast forward moving development cycle So what should I say "Monsieur Le Cook"? Keep the good work going it will lead to success. Having become a paying member in the words of Edith Piaf may I say ..... non rien de rien ... je ne regrette rien. Vive La France.
