TOPIC:

[FIXED] addStyleSheet - addScript: files not loaded 11 Jun 2013 13:47 #7417

today I did my first test on j.cook 2.5
here the first thing I found.

Scenario:
  • jcook component on a fresh joomla 3 installation.
  • localhost
  • windows 8
  • uniserver

missing files, not loaded from the jcook helper.
functions involved:
protected static function addScript($doc, $base, $file, $replace = true)

and
protected static function addStyleSheet($doc, $base, $file, $replace = true)

the lines 59 and 88 of helper.php:
$url = JURI::root(true) . '/' . $base . '/' . str_replace(DS, '/', $file);

should be replaced by:
		$url = JURI::root(true) . '/' . $base . '/' . $file;
		$url = str_replace(DS, '/', $url);

and the lines 63 and 91:
$urlFork = JURI::root(true) . '/' . $base . '/fork/' . str_replace(DS, '/', $file);

should be replaced by:
			$urlFork = JURI::root(true) . '/' . $base . '/fork/' . $file;
			$urlFork = str_replace(DS, '/', $urlFork);

This is what you call a component builder. I was able to master using this in a very short time and the resulting component works like a charm. Not just a basic component builder but a fully working component builder with forms fields tables all ready to go. You can make the list and item views to display in the front and back end. Also there is a great forum just starting to evolve and I'm sure this will grow very rapidly when you all realise how good this tool is.
