save or cancel in item form are redirected to layout=modal instead of layout=default (when redirect is not defined in jcook builder)

I too am experiencing this issue. but yet even when I define what view to return to it still displays in a modal view. i know this is a work in progress and I'm very impressed with what you have so far. i guess this should be an easy fix for you to implement?

you should be able to fix this by going in to the controllers for each page and changing the lines within the "save&exit"/"cancel" functions that end in .modal to .default

I am quite busy for 1-2 days, so when I find some time I will treat them.

Note by the way that common softwares are long to answer and debug. With Cook it is a quite responsive debug because of Extreme Programming and beeing online so it benefits from the last upgrades all the time.
