Table wizards Creation Date & Modification Date 01 Dec 2013 08:46 #11718

Hi,
As a small improvement I propose that you change the auto generated table field for the Creation Date and Modification Date wizards from Date to DateTime
It currently defaults to a Date field type, which, in my opinion, it is wrong, because knowing only the date when a row has been created is not that useful, as you also need the precise time.

Thanks!

agree with this (although I don't know if there is a Joomla standard here?) ... I always have to create the create/modified data fields by dragging the DateTime field type into the table layout and then drag those into the wizard field (not impossible to do, just extra work)

I do not think there is any standard involved here.
It is about the workflow, as I do exactly the same process as you describe, but that is a pain to do when we have the Cook and he can do it for us :)

Yes, it is gonna be integrated. For the moment I am recleaning it all to fit to conventions given by FoF. Then I will integrate them all.
Coding is now a piece of cake

Just wanted to congratulate you on the J-Cook website / web development tool. In a couple of visits I've had a play around with Cook and have to say I think it is fantastic.  I've played with a number of component builders in the past and yours is certainly looking like the best so far. I'd also like to help you spread the word - I'm really surprised more people aren't excited about this tool. Good luck with the project.
