Struggling with displaying user's data. My goal is that logged users are able to enter some data from front end into database and then the each user is able to display only the data what he entered, not from the other users.

I was playing with Joomla user data type but with no success yet.

Is there any way how to make it work?

It is the authoring wizzard, wich will be available in next releases.

For the moment, you have to do it manually.

Good news. Do you approximately know when this functionality will show up in the builder?

Oh no. It is not as priority, so I can't estimate.

I'm working in 'extreme programing' way, so if a feature is more important than a less priority one, it change all the planning.

Have a look in your generated component and try to make the modification by yourself. If you propose your source code, I can integrate it in Cook faster.

I understand. Actualy I am mapping the builder's functionality to know if it can work for my project. Or at least for the main structure. I found the possibility for editting user's content is missing. However I can try to add this manually on some simple project and provide if that works well.

Is it still not a priority ? Because it would be great for so many applications to be able to link records to the user that created them. You said it should be done manually, could you give me a hint on how to do this ?

Time to create page: 0.086 seconds

I jumped and started to work on a demo component... but 2 days later this demo component became the real component. I just showed today the end result to my customer and he turned to me and said... "this is more than I expected"... All of this is because Cook did cut about 70% of my work and provided me more ways to improve the usability of the component. The end result was 17 tables all related between than to generate a full dashboard for the travel agents. Thanks for Cook developers for such great tool. This component would not be possible to be done at short time with all the features in it
