Dates in Filters? 14 Dec 2011 04:24 #706

I can't seem to use a date field in a filter. Am I missing something?

No it is not possible yet.

Try to understand the way how Cook deals with filters and ou should easily create it be yourself.

TIP : if you already have a filter, search all instances of its name 'filter_xxxx' in your component. Because filters are not complicated, but are written few lines in maybe 4 or 5 files I don't remember. So just care to don't miss a part to be successful.

Then, if you really don't understand, I can take time with you.

For starters it's just so easy to design an app in a way that I'm used to i.e. database first then views followed by customization. The fork system is pure brilliance from a developer standpoint as I can override things and still add and update my projects with minimal effort! Truly amazing to be able to build components in Joomla using incremental refinement without having to do everything by hand. Thanks for the great tool! I am so much more productive now than ever and I can't imagine building components any other way!!!!
