Is it possible to only download parts of my component or is there anyway to duplicate a project so i can remove certain bits from it?

I've added custom code to some aspects of my component that havn't changed but other bits that have, and only want to package the changed bits.

It has been discussed many times : no, it's not possible at the moment.
Future version of cook will allow something for devs that modify the code.
In the meantime, i use Beyond Compare and Dropbox to re-put the bits of code i need in the models or controllers. As for the views, it's obviously better to use the HTML folder in your template with overrides
