Hi,

Here is a link to the Error Message

Basically what happens is when you upload an Image, this error occurs "Error loading component: demo11055, 1"
and only shows a default "Exclamation mark" image and not the actual image that was uploaded.

Any help will be appreciated.

I receive the same Error Message, but in my case no image should be displayed

Hi,

Thanks for that, it works when you download your project and edit the helper.php file and run it local on your own machine.
The question here is, my project is far from finished in Cook Builder, is there a way of editing the helper file without having to download your project first?

unfortunately not, any editing of the source code cannot be done in the jcook builder.
I suggest you to use a LAMP on your PC/MAC and continue the development in localhost.
A good one is uniform server, it's the best in my opinion.

Cheers mate, But can't a Cook Admin just fix it, it will take him a couple of minutes to do.

I am running it on a local LAMP server and so far Cook is brilliant it saves me loads of time.

I tried the Helper file fix but it doesn't seem to work for me... All files are being put into a folder in the root of my site called [COM_SITE]. Is this happening to anyone else? anyone know why? I even tried setting the upload directory to images folder but they still end up in the same place.

Hi,

What fixed it for me was to set the "options", "uploads" directory to a path that actually exist.
In my case I set the "uploads" directory to "/images"

Hope that works for you.

Hi, thanks for the reply but I've just tried your updated code and I still have the same issue. All images are being posted to root in a folder called [COM_SITE] still.

I still don't believe he can really be human to do all this ! From all of the forums that I've ever participated in this is certainly the one that most encapsulates the feeling of being truly open source where everyone's opinions and contributions can and will shape the development of the service! It's truly awesome! Hope you enjoy cooking and look forward to reading and contributing to any of the editorial work that you proposed too!! Thanks
