TOPIC:

formvalidator error when cid[] 30 Sep 2016 21:28 #14610

Hello, I have a strange behavior when in a form there is an hidden field with id="cid[]" (for instance <input type="hidden" id="cid[]" name="cid[]" value="5"/>

The joomla client side validator does not work. There is an error : Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: #cid[]-lbl. I have found the error , this error is into the jquery Sizzle.js library (on line 1502.
To solve (workaround), just before the javascript line
if (document.formvalidator.isValid(el_form)) {, just rewrite the input "id" attribute with
this code : document.querySelector('input[name="cid[]"]').setAttribute('id','cid__');
