Wich browser are you using ?
Do you experience any JS error ?

Did you tried to flush your browser cache ?

Can you show a screenshot please (this forum do no allow files uploads)

Ok,
This is simply because you do not have instancied any FORM in front.

By default, the ITEM pages are FLY (read) only.

Remove the FLY, and instance a FORM.
Then drag your fields in it.

The New and Edit task will then appears.
Coding is now a piece of cake
