Multiple tables in one form 07 Dec 2017 03:49 #15475

Hi all
I have two tables one contains members details, the other contains details of each members payments. The payments table is linked with a member's id as a foreign key. I'd like to create tabbed form which shows members detAils on one tab and then a grid on the other tab which shows detAils of that members payments. I have tried clicking on the node in the fields list bit it doesn't seem to show fields. Is this something I'm going to have to create my own code for, as jcook does not do this?
Many thanks

Hello
If you want I had the same request. You can adapt it in your component.

Time to create page: 0.103 seconds

For starters it's just so easy to design an app in a way that I'm used to i.e. database first then views followed by customization. The fork system is pure brilliance from a developer standpoint as I can override things and still add and update my projects with minimal effort! Truly amazing to be able to build components in Joomla using incremental refinement without having to do everything by hand. Thanks for the great tool! I am so much more productive now than ever and I can't imagine building components any other way!!!!
