Unresponsive script back-end configuration 23 Aug 2013 07:58 #10892

Hi all,

Not sure if this is Cook related, but decided to post it here as people might have come across it and have a solution for me. I build a component with cook and downloaded and all worked fine. I added a configuration parameter to the config.xml, which I need. However, after that, when I go in the options of the component and try to change any(!) of the parameters I get the 'unresponsive script' warnings in firefox (or Chrome), and the data is not saved.

Did anyone come across this as well and have some ideas how to fix it?

Kind regards,

Misha

I forgot to mention this is all on Joomla 3.1.5. Also removing that parameter again from the config.xml does not solve it.

For those people who ran into this too. In my case it was the amount of usergroups (I had 127), I reduced this back to 13 and the problem disappears.
Just will need to redesign the authorisation mechanism now in the component.

Hi All just wanted to add one more "thank you" voice to all those who discovered the value of this amazing application. The website I was working on went to production few days ago and I do not want to even try to imagine what would it take to build it without j-cook. So - endless thanks keep it running and evolving I believe it deserves to be the core tool for any joomla application! Thanks!
