I am implementing a small commenting system that uses Jquery. It took me hours to get it work. I knew the problem was in Jquery vs. Mootols. jQuery.noConflict() did not help. There was fighting image lightbox with commenting system. Finally I tried to remove
JHTML::_("behavior.mootools");
from base file of component at frontend and the problem has gone.
So my question is what is
JHTML::_("behavior.mootools");
for? Just I want to be sure I will not break some functions which I am not aware at the moment.

thanks
Vaclav

Form validator is only in Mootools.

But it will evolve after the V2.0 stabilization. Promise.

I love JQuery too.

Mootools has been choosen because it is Joomla native JS framework.
Coding is now a piece of cake

This is what you call a component builder. I was able to master using this in a very short time and the resulting component works like a charm. Not just a basic component builder but a fully working component builder with forms fields tables all ready to go. You can make the list and item views to display in the front and back end. Also there is a great forum just starting to evolve and I'm sure this will grow very rapidly when you all realise how good this tool is.
