Hello beltechs,

A webservice would need to be added to your project 'post build' as it is not currently a feature of Cook Self Service.

What does this mean? After creating your component with Cook Self Service you would download it locally, unzip the file, locate the files/code where you would like to add your webservice calls, zip up file again, and install as per normal into Joomla! 2.5

I just looked at the JED and there are a few examples, some free, that show a Component using webservices in a Joomla! 2.5 environment. Very cool indeed.

Hope that helps!

Not a problem, here's one that springs to mind:

Just visit extensions.joomla.org and search the term 'web services'.

This is what you call a component builder. I was able to master using this in a very short time and the resulting component works like a charm. Not just a basic component builder but a fully working component builder with forms fields tables all ready to go. You can make the list and item views to display in the front and back end. Also there is a great forum just starting to evolve and I'm sure this will grow very rapidly when you all realise how good this tool is.
